What is the difference between a web app and an App Store app?

A web app runs in the phone's browser. You add it to the home screen and open it like any other app; no app store approval is needed. A store app is downloaded from the App Store or Google Play. Apple and Google review it first, and it brings the cost of a developer account. We build store apps on request.

How long does it take to build an app?

That depends on the scope. An app with one function and a few screens is less work than one with accounts, payments and integrations. Describe what the app should do and you get a fixed price within one business day. The schedule is in the quote, so you also know when it will be ready.

Can my app be published in the App Store and Google Play later?

Yes, on request, with a fixed price upfront. A web app and a store app are not the same thing technically, so it is a new piece of work rather than the push of a button. If you already know you will want to be in the App Store and Google Play later, say so at the outset and we will allow for it in the design.

Can I pay for an app in instalments?

Yes. The simple web app can be paid in one go, or in 12 instalments of €145. It is not rent. Once paid, the app and the code are yours. If you pay in instalments, that is after the last instalment.

An app in the App Store and Google Play is a different route. Apple and Google review every app before it is listed, and charge for a developer account: Apple every year, Google once. That is worth it when you need functions only a store app offers, or when customers need to be able to find you in the store. We build store apps on request, with a fixed price upfront.

What fits in a simple web app?

One clear function and up to five screens: bookings, orders, a loyalty card or an internal form. Once accounts, payments, push notifications or integrations come in, it becomes a larger project. The same goes if you want to connect your app to your business tools, such as your till or your accounting software. Tell us what the app should do; within one business day you will know which kind of project it is and what it costs: ask for a fixed price. With the fixed price you also get a delivery date. Once paid, the app and the code are yours.
